Could it be that the age of new has come to an abrupt halt?
So I was sitting here thinking that perhaps the reason people are constantly referring to the past, as it pertains to music, fashion and art is because of a halt in creativity. I recently brought this theory to a fellow philosopher, and he responded "great minds think alike." I had to step back to think of the recycled quote, and I came to a realization that that was a lazy excuse. Could it be that technology has made us dumb? Or has it just made us lazy?

i was thinking of this too
i think people have ran out of ideas
but there are a few designers who have been innovative and given birth to a somewhat new stylist outlook

we are in'a recession(financially, morally, creatively,& originality is officially a thing of the past) the funny thing is that it has been in motion since the beginning of this so called "new Millennium", this is the worst decade yet{to the point that its almost over & we still dont have a name for it-ie.80s 90s-?????-the only thing that has progressed is technology(but that doesnt & has never really excited me personally)...ive been going on to long but you get the point
Thats such a good thought. And yes that is a recycled quote that people use as an excuse for the unoriginality of people nowadays. I don't think it's technology i just think it's people. What will the world be like in 10 years. The same exact thing it was ten years ago. I don't think that theres really much anything to do with clothing then just people you shouldn't blame designers i think their just try to reach the expectations of what is normal or what isn't too crazy and what is mediocre.
I think that theirs such a typical idea for "futuristic" fashion. That we seen it all. Theirs always new modern looks for old classic looks. Which i personally believe is the only hope we have left. If their wasn't such things are vintage stores and people accessorizing. Maybe i answered your question. If it wasn't for the poor fashionista who thrift and do their own thing then their wouldn't be any hope for fashion.
I wrote this totally half asleep.
It's a sad thought to think that people have ran out of ideas.
Because that only leaves me to think that the world is coming to a tragic end.
